Texas and the Oil Industry
Most, but not all of the pieces in this collection, were commissioned to be used for public space art in a Galleria, Marriott Hotel, Houston, to enhance and create a sophisticated ambiance of the upscale Texas culture as it relates to the rodeo heritage and oil industry.
The Ball Park
This series of baseball players, fields and objects of baseball were commissioned for the Inn at the Ballpark, Houston, Texas . . . to enhance the "ball park" ambiance with sophisticated, nostalgic images of an earlier period of this beloved sport. As an artist, that excels at drawing the human figure and is fascinated by life drawing—I loved working on this series!
Abstract
This series grasps the joy and energy of the abstract with color, texture, composition and most always the element of line—sometimes quietly subtle and sometimes boldly dramatic.
Water Color/Mixed Media
This series explores two areas of subject matter: a slice of life pertaining to medical practice and a slice of the visual element of the human body . . . the eyes. I challenged myself to work in a long, narrow format and studied eyes, not as a portrait but as a window to ourselves.
Drawings
Drawing—my first love of creative expression, describing deeply personal depictions of various perspectives and observations.
Marine Life
This large scale series of the marvels of the sea was originally created to emphasize the beauty and unique variety of marine life for Chart House Restaurants.
Landscapes and Local Color
Traditional landscapes as well as collage-like interpretations of specific, geographic, urban areas.
